If you want to learn to BE more resilient and at ease, if you wish to flow and BE flexible, there are some Top Tips below.
1 Let go of the outcome of your practice
It’s a very human thing to want to succeed at something, however we tend to misconstrue ‘success’ with effort. The whole point of becoming attuned to your BEING-NESS is to release struggle and resistance to the natural flow of your life.
2 Treat your Practice as an excuse to really get to know yourself. Many of us are still living our lives dominated by the beliefs and systems of our primary care givers and early life peers. When was the last time you asked yourself ‘What are my core beliefs?’ Practice may uncover many truths.
3 Take it slow. There is no rush as the journey is really what this is all about. You may well find places that are sticky or difficult to navigate. If that is the case, journal, ‘peel the onion’ (keep digging!) or seek the guidance of a counsellor or therapist to help you gain insight into these areas.
4 Remember that you don’t need fixing! Practising the Art of Being is about acceptance; learning to be YOU in this eternal moment. You are loved, loveable and deserve love, just as you are.
5 Make like a river rock or a beautiful weeping willow, certain of yourself in the tide of life, flexible enough to bend but never break. Play with these images as you sit in practice, is there another natural object or animal that symbolises the Art of BEING to you?
