So, here’s the thing;
‘Awake’ does not equal ‘Aware’.
‘Belief’ does not equal ‘Truth’.
‘Faith’ does not mean ‘Wisdom’.
You can believe a lot of what you read, watch and even subjectively experience on the spiritual pathway BUT without any innate ability to discriminate between the REAL & the IMAGINARY you are little more than a child carrying around a pocketful of stones, mistaking them for diamonds.
(Remember the story about the naked Emporer who believed he had new clothes?)
When we sit in Stillness or the Power, in order to develop Mediumship a great deal of what we will experience at first is our own subconscious mental detritus. Case in point, I have crocheted a lot recently and the last couple of times I have sat in the stillness and retreated inwardly, for the first 10 minutes of each session my inner vision was filled with stitches and patterns. Whatever is going on in our personal lives, material we have read, films we have watched, music we have listened to, unexpressed emotions etc will all bubble up in our mind’s eye. With experience and DISCERNMENT one understands this as part of the mental process of separating the wheat from the chaff, before being able to settle into communion with Spirit. But many with less experience or those with a tendancy towards reverie or fantasy begin to follow these subconscious threads to, often, very erroneous conclusions.
A line is crossed.
I have often seen these mental journeys taken in the stillness become misunderstood as somehow deeply ‘meaningful’ or some kind of ‘out of body’ experience, when all that had really happened was that the individual saw an image and built a story around it. That is fine if that is what you want, BUT please do not try to pass that off as Mediumship, Intuition or Guidance, for it is none of those things.
Learn to DISCRIMINATE between fantasy and reality.
In Mediumship, we seek to work with discarnate (‘dead’) PEOPLE to provide evidence of their character, personality and life on the earth. In that way their existence as a living being may be validated.
If there is no evidence to validate a communicator or experience (other than your subjective experience of it) then it is just an experience, however real it may seem to you.
Channeling Angels, bringing messages forward from Extra-Terrestials, Fairies, ancient Lemuria, Atlantis or non-validatable Guides is NOT MEDIUMSHIP (and nor is it Psychic work either).
What it is is fluffy, airy-fairy, shiny, nonsense.
It has become at best, an excuse to pass oneself off as a sensitive, ‘Lightworker’, ‘Empath’ without having any skill whatsoever and at worst, it is used as a cynical marketing ploy to make sweet, unsuspecting people part with their cash.
Exercising ones COMMON SENSE is VITAL in these times of rampant social media, where anyone with a laptop or phone can become a self-styled guru.
PLEASE STOP FALLING FOR ALL THE PITIFUL NONSENSE PASSING ITSELF OFF AS SPIRITUAL TEACHING AND GUIDANCE ON THE INTERNET and start supporting those who are grounded, sensible, experienced. Those who teach ethics, values, and core evidential Mediumship and spirituality.
It may not be fluffy, hippy-dippy, fairy-dust-sprinkled, BUT it is actually so much more valuable to you.
The spiritual path needn’t be one of simple escapism & fantasy; it can be a blessing to help you navigate the world without having to be continually coddled or infantalised.
⏰️AWAKEN! Time to take off the rose tinted spectacles and seek discernment in all that you do!
