The Weight of Mediumship

‘What a gift!’ That’s what people say.

Circumventing the age old argument of whether mediumship is a ‘gift’, an ‘ability’ or both, of course, it is a monumental privilege to be able to converse with people who are resident in what one may understand more readily as ‘another dimension’.
It doesn’t matter about those who don’t believe in what I do, I am not here to prove anything to the disbelievers. That is their path.
What I do is born of the sacred, the divine, the loving Source energy that has given this ability (or gift if you prefer) that those who suffer on this earth may know that they are not alone, that their loved ones have not simply vanished, their light extinguished forever.  That whatever their struggle, there is always hope, that life is to be lived at its best in every moment.

Sadly all too often Mediumship is simply seen as ‘entertainment’ and the deeper spiritual message that we bring is completely missed.
Living in a world of instant dopamine highs, binge-watching and next day delivery sometimes seems to have robbed humanity of the ability to scratch deeper than the surface level.

Mediumship carries many responsibilities- some ethical, some spiritual, mental and emotional. The duty of care for a client or message recipient is one which I personally take very seriously. But there is a weight which is not often talked about and one which I and I’m sure others, have felt; what should I DO with this gift?

Although it is not burdensome to me to be a medium, it is a deep joy, the path is still a rocky one. At times I have found the road ahead to be shrouded with fog, I lose my sense of direction and have no idea what to do with this beautiful ability.
It is endlessly frustrating that we are still viewed as illusionists, liars, or ‘spooky’ by some. That the greater message of Spirit comes a dreary second place to the immediate wants and needs of the public, continues to sadden and disappoint.

So I stretch my hands to heaven and ask for guidance.

‘What next?’
