What do you know about Vasundhara?

We are all used to hearing about the 7 bodily energy vortices or chakras that are centred along our spinal column (and thus, aligned with our 3 main subtle energy channels/meridians/nadis) and linked to organs and endocrine systems.

But did you know there are much more complex networks of energy centres (chakras) throughout our bodies, subtle bodies and auric fields?

One of the most fundamental of these in the expanded or ‘Transpersonal’ system is the Earth Star Chakra (Vasundhara in the ancient Hindu system).

Now. There are purists who will argue that there are ONLY seven chakras and no others. That’s fine if that is what you believe. I would offer however, that if you work regularly enough with other people’s energy, you will become used to  encountering many more than the standard 7 Centres.

More and more during healing sessions I am being drawn to work with client’s Earth Star Chakras. This speaks volumes about current changes to Karma and blueprints for this current incarnation, changes in the frequency of the earth herself as well as the shifting & collapsing of timelines as the earth proceeds to move through the galactic belt and raise in frequency. More than that even, there appears to be a definite NEED in this moment for individuals to acknowledge, activate and or cleanse and balance this centre.

The Earth Star Chakra (aka ‘The Daughter of the Earth’) is located roughly 12 inches – arms length beneath your feet and is connected to the earth’s core. It is often represented as brown in colour (when unbalanced) or half black and half white (as a Yin Yang), symbolizing strength in balance. Once fully open, aligned and functioning optimally its colour is that of hematite (a stone which is used to balance and cleanse this centre).

Whereas the Root or Base chakra (located in the perineum) anchors and grounds emotions in the physical body, providing a sense of safety and our identity as a member of a ‘tribe’, the Earth Star grounds our Soul into this dimension and planet in this, our current incarnation.

Having a healthy and fully functioning Earth Star chakra is particularly important for those who spend much of their time feeling as if they don’t belong, those who may feel a sense of homesickness for some undesignated place or those who have yet to discover and become rooted in their soul purpose in this life.

If the Earth Star is under-functioning a person may struggle with depression, anxiety and even psychiatric disorders. They may feel as though they are constantly buffeted by external forces and always seem to miss the mark when it comes to finding their preferred job, vocation, partnership etc. This centre brings all wishes, hopes and dreams into concrete form. Working correctly, it is a place of safety and regeneration.

Those who spend most of the time in their own head are often among the least grounded in this time and place. The Earth Star EMPOWERS, anchoring an individual into a functioning, well grounded and comfortable incarnation. Ultimately it allows us the ability to utilise, assimilate then dissipate higher dimensional energies from other realms.

Many of those who are walking a Spiritual or Mystic path and are mainly focused upon their connection to other realms (without giving an equal amount of attention to THIS world), have some of the most imbalanced Earth Star Chakras.

When one energy centre is not functioning properly, is storing stagnant energy, spinning too quickly or not fast enough, it has a knock on effect to the whole energy system. When the Earth Star is not locked in and functioning well it is the Soul Star Chakra that suffers the most as this is the Earth Star’s corresponding higher chakra.

The Soul Star Chakra is located about  a foot above the Crown and usually lilac /white or Ultra Violet in colour. Soul Star is a link or bridge between spirit and matter and the chakra of ultimate awareness of one’s true Soul State.

This Chakra is responsible for taking in extremely fine spiritual frequencies so that they can be integrated into matter.

Soul Star corresponds not only to Earth Star but also to the Causal Chakra and Stellar Gateway too. If not functioning properly, the resultant energy may cause an individual to have little or no awareness of being an eternal spirit having a physical experience at this time.  They may be narrow minded, materialistic and greedy. Ungrounded or under-functioning, the Soul Star may be connected to unresolved karmic issues, Past Life trauma and  karmic bonds affecting the current incarnation. It may also present as a sort of spiritual arrogance and a sense of superiority (at worst, a Messiah Complex).

When the Earth Star is working fully and  sufficiently connected to Soul Star it allows the individual to assimilate higher information, energy and ideals, gifting an individual true humility, purpose, a connection to Soul path and intention and a healthy perspective on the past which allows the individual to gain awareness and ultimately attain real spiritual illumination.

EXERCISE:

To fully activate, cleanse and rebalance your Earth Star Chakra, lie on the ground with a hematite stone 12 inches below your feet. Relax into your self, allowing the days stresses and strains to flow out of the soles of both feet. You may wish to picture any released energy the colour of dishwater or grey smoke, whatever feels right for you.

Taking some slow, full inhalation and exhalations, let yourself be held by the ground or bed beneath you. Accept the sense of being right here, right now in this time and place as correct for you, no matter what is happening in your life. Accept that you are right where you need to be, safe and held, grounded in the expansiveness of your own being.

Then with each out breath, picture roots growing down from the soles of both feet, strong like tree roots, pushing down through the ground beneath you. If you are on the second or eleventh floor, visualise the roots journey, growing thicker and stronger as they grow downwards seeking the damp, dark soil of the earth.

Breaking through foundations, pushing past minerals, levels of clay, sand water…all the way to the very core of the earth. Picture the core as a slow moving sphere of shining hematite. Wrap both roots around and around the sphere. Feel yourself pulled, as if by a gigantic magnet, through the soles of both feet, towards the hematite core. Know that you belong in this life, in this place at this moment. An infinite spirit being having an earthly experience.

When you’re ready, take a few deep breaths in and longer sighs out, wriggle your fingers and toes and open your eyes when you are ready.

If you should feel ungrounded, ‘spacey’, lightheaded or anxious at anytime, place both feet in contact with the floor and picture those strong, wide roots grounding you into this life.
