Sound Bath Magic!

Panoramic sound bath set up

Blissed and blessed.

I love what I do and no more so than when I get to share it with others.

On Friday evening three beautiful clients joined me at the studio for their own, private Sound Bath.

Eye pillows resting on sleepy eyes and blankets covering tired bodies, I began by cleansing each client’s auric field with Palo Santo – ‘Holy Wood’ sustainably grown and ethically harvested in Ecuador. Used by the indigenous peoples of South America for generations, the resinous, oily wood has beautiful, mixed citrus and pine aromas. The smoke is believed to cleanse spaces and people of negative or lesser energies, gently releasing that which is no longer needed.

Inviting my clients to surrender to the tranquil depths of themselves, I used Koshi Chimes to fill the air with soft melodies, whilst my clients melted into the sound scape of waves gently breaking onto the white sands of some far off shore… I guided the participants to cleanse and  release any tension and stagnant emotion being held within themselves, using a visualisation of healing golden Divine Light.

I always work intuitively when it comes to which instruments I use and in which order. In this session we mainly worked with Tibetan Singing Bowls, Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls and my majestic 32″ Chau gong.

The shimmers, undertones and overtones of the gong often provide almost instantaneous stress relief. Many scientific studies have been carried out on the physiological effects of the gong as a sound healing instrument. It is such a wonderful all rounder, a real Master Healer. Stabilizing brainwaves, soothing nervous systems, producing homeostasis in the physical body it creates space for the body to gently focus upon healing itself. It has even been found to assist in the production of T-Cell antibodies for a great all over immunity boost!

There are always pauses in Sound Bath facilitation. Most practitioners worth their salt will understand the importance of letting a client have time and space to integrate the healing vibrational frequencies that lie at the core of a session. Sacred silence is the place where healing happens. Sound Healing Practitioners use the idea of Sympathetic Resonance or entrainment as the foundation of our sessions.

This simply means that each instrument emits a fundamental, sacred or cosmic frequency of wholeness and peace which, when it comes into contact with human frequency fields, over time, will produce a resonant effect- those frequencies of your field which are dissonant (and causing dis-comfort or dis-ease on any level of being) can be retrained or ‘entrained’ to the correct, fundamental frequency being offered.

At the end of last night’s sound bath, I gently guided the participants back, into full waking consciousness, giving them time to be fully back in their physical bodies.

If you have never tried frequency or sound healing, I’d highly recommend it.

The wonderful thing about being a practitioner of sound healing is that I leave the session feeling as relaxed and refreshed as my clients!

This morning I awoke to a lovely little message from one of yesterday’s participants:

“Thanks so much for last night. We all loved it ๐Ÿ˜”

Job done.
