We live in strange times. More people than ever before are experiencing an awakening to universal spiritual truths and the ultimate truth that they are, in fact an infinite part of the Source.
It is believed that due to many external pressures being brought to bear on the global population at this time, a Great Shift of consciousness (long predicted by ancient cultures) is underway. It’s said that this will culminate in a leap of consciousness evolution, ultimately enabling an ‘ascension’ or ‘levelling up’ into the 5th dimension.
Whether or not you believe in this particular feature of the purported shift, I am sure you have noticed a rapidly changing world in which politics, social norms, economics, global issues, health crises etc have undergone major shifts in the last decade.
Everything seems to be speeding up, with calamities, environmental and natural disasters, political and social unrest occurring with a sequential rapidity that is difficult to recall ever happening before in our shared history. Whilst we may well put this down to the ways in which mass media controls access to global events (promoting those which bolster it’s agenda whilst under or misreporting those that don’t), the sense of time rushing by, speeding up or s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g out appears to have become the norm, particularly in my own experience.
Merely a reflection
It’s easy to understand why many of us who are awake to what we feel is a new reality, have a real thirst to save the world. We can see through the corporate and media lies, recognise the injustices, smell the smoke screens from a mile off and we feel an urgent need within us to awaken others around us to the truths that we have uncovered. We are often called ‘conspiracy theorists’, crazy or worse when we attempt to open the eyes of others. This can be endlessly frustrating and may leave you feeling that you are helpless, powerless to make any positive change in your external reality.
During meditation this morning my Guides spoke to me about this. I’ll repeat here what I received from them on this subject.
“The sun you feel on your face? That is you. The breeze that ruffles your hair? That is also you. The laughter and calls of the children in the school yard? You are each of those children, their laughter and their tears. You see, the world around you is you, reflected back to your consciousness. What you see is just a reflection. If you wish to see positivity, you must be that positivity, if you want there to be compassion, you must embody compassion yourself, if you want there to be peace amongst all humanity, you must radiate that peace.
For you will only see that which is a reflection of you, your emotions, your consciousness. There is no other way, it is the natural law of all things. It is that Law of Correspondence.
You know of the Hermetic Principle of ‘As above, so below’? It is of this we speak now. In each individual there is the larger reflected in the smaller and vice versa. You are at once the macrocosm in microcosm. If you wish to see the change that you desire, it must come from within, before it is reflected back to you in the world around and about you. This is how you save the World child.
There are those of you who will be the warriors and rattle sabres in the faces of the self acclaimed ‘mighty’, that is their work to do. For most of you, you will learn that change begins in understanding how your universe works, how you can reclaim your creative power and begin to fashion a brighter, new world individually and collectively, for the smaller always becomes the image of the larger, the reality you seek has its formation within every cell of your being, within the minutiae of your imagination (that is the pattern of your creative skill).
This is how you save the World. To live that creation NOW, will ultimately lead to its formation in the external. It has to be, the law knows no other way.”
Our conversation reminded me of Gandhi’s famous quote ‘Be the change you wish to see in the world.’
It was a timely reminder that we all possess the power to create the world in which we want to live and with more and more of us waking up to this truth, there is a greater chance of this happening.
I’m not a quantum physicist. I have a laypersons understanding of the theory of a holographic universe and it’s something that is only gaining credence in our modern world due to the religion of science and its development, however, it has been known and understood in ancient cultures worldwide, since the dawn of time. (For those of you who don’t know, a hologram is a two dimensional image of a three dimensional object. Like the image of the dove on a credit card. If you were to break off a piece of said hologram and shine a light upon it, that single fragment would contain the entire 3D image of the 2D original. It is said that our universe is a reflection (in 3d) of a 2d image.) Like wise, it has been known, for thousands of years, that an individual human being contains The Whole (universe, humanity and Source). Whatever patterns can be found in nature, in space etc, can be found in us too.
George Trevelyan in his wonderful book ‘A Vision of the Aquarian Age’ (published by Coventure Ltd, London 1977) states that all ‘new’ ideas have really been around forever. He believed that ‘the wisdom of the ancients’ reappeared at intervals ‘in a form appropriate to our intellectual age… like a clear underground current through every epoch of history, emerging in varying forms to influence minds in each generation able to receive its nourishment.’
Trevelyan sites another wonderful author Manly P. Hall in stating that the very purpose of ancient mystery schools and their secret initiations were to ensure that information and deep truths were preserved and handed down through the ages. Trevelyan writes of the ‘Temple Sleep’ ritual, through which initiates were made ready to receive the ancient knowledge about to be conferred on them. (According to Manly P. Hall, these were conducted by High Priests of the Great Pyramid at Giza and well worth reproducing here):
‘The candidate was laid in the Great Stone coffin and for three days his spirit, freed from its mortal coil, wandered at the gateways of eternity:His KA*, as a bird, flew through the spiritual spheres of space. He discovered that all the universe was life, progress and eternal growth. Realising that his body was a house which he could slip out of and return to without death, he achieved actual immortality. At the end of three days, he returned to himself again, and having thus personally and actually experienced the Great Mystery, he was indeed an Initiate – one who beheld and one to whom religion had fulfilled her duty, bringing him to the Light of God.’
It was due to such initiation rituals (which very often involved hallucinogens such as the Blue Lotus in Egypt, see ‘Isis Unveiled’ by H P Blavatsky) that individuals learned of the truth of ‘as above, so below’, that all things exist within all things. These secret truths were deemed unsuitable for the masses, because of issues of power and control: it’s hard to control and manipulate a population that truly understands their own individual and collective creative powers. Secret Societies (such as the Freemasons and Rosacruscians) grew up around protecting these initiation rites and the truths which they sought to conceal for future generations.
One of the Great Mystery schools of the past was the Eleusinian Mysteries of ancient Greece. Over the Temple of Eleusis was inscribed: ‘Man, know thyself and thou shalt know the Universe.’ This inscription was echoed over the entrance to the Temple of Apollo in Delhi and, I am certain, many other great centres of knowledge.
For so long now, we have forgotten who and what we truly are. Our awakening is the pathway back to this remembrance.
Spiral in nature
Once you wake up, you will never return to sleep. You will recognise the sleep walkers, the zombies, everywhere. I don’t say this in a sense of being better than or partaking in this spiritual one upmanship that seems to be a distasteful by-product of the recent Shift. It’s simply a truth and how you come to terms with that truth is up to you, your own soul growth and spiritual evolution is your own personal responsibility.
Once your eyes have been opened, you are given an opportunity to begin the process of creating the reality in which you want to exist, the world which you wish to create for generations to come. This is a great responsibility, but also a great gift.

The New Earth is less about an external rescue party guiding us to ascend to another place in space and time and ALL about learning to be our own saviours. If we can begin to use our new burgeoning conscious awareness to first begin to realise and then understand that the ancient truths are not simply myths, but signposts, if we can acknowledge the creative force that resides within each of us, if we can begin using our individual and collective powers to consciously co create our reality, then that’s how we save the world.
