Magical You
It’s great to have you here for Day 5 of our week long Gratitude Challenge. Learning to build a regular, easy gratitude practice involves embodying a new sense of awareness, of yourself and the world around you. This may then lead to a state of increased mindfulness and an easy appreciation of all of the good in your life.
Often times we overlook gratitude for ourselves and our bodies in our practice because for many of us this may feel a little uncomfortable.
It is only through self appreciation that we may find consistent harmony and balance, freeing us up to appreciate others.
You are a wonderful, magical being and you deserve appreciation too.
It may feel like too big a task to thank yourself for being wonderful at first, that’s why I always advise starting with a gentle appreciation of your physical body.i don’t mean outward appearances, but the magical things your body does for you everyday.
Even if you have a body with aches and pains, one which you consider to be difficult to live in, your body still contains You and that is something you may be able to hold gratitude for.
Exercise:
While you move around today draw awareness to your body. It may be to give gratitude to your legs for carrying you up and down the stairs, your arms for enabling you to hold your loved ones, your fingers for helping you to type. Perhaps you are grateful for the trillions of cells in your body, your heart or your eyes.
Whatever you chose, find a physical attribute today to be thankful for.
Today’s Prompt:
When I focus on my magic, how does it make me feel?
I hope that you can join me tomorrow for Day 6 of our Gratitude Challenge, it would be great to see you.
Until then, have a blessed day.
xoxo
