
The Little Things.
Welcome to Day 3! I’m so excited that you’re joining me today to continue on our 7 Day journey together. Today we are continuing to build on what we’ve already learnt.
Check In With Yourself
Before we talk about todays practice, let’s check in with ourselves. How do you feel you’re doing so far? Are you finding it easy to integrate the new practices into your daily routine? Have you encountered any resistance within yourself? (Resistance may show up as self sabotage, being non-committal or starting something but not seeing it through.) Have there been any surprises so far?
I had my own aha! moment yesterday morning whilst drinking my coffee at breakfast time. As I took a sip and sent a thought of gratitude out to the Universe to say ‘Thank you’ for the warm, delicious drink I was enjoying, I began thinking of everybody involved in putting that cup of coffee into my hands. From the farmers, to the factory workers, to the truck drivers to the shop assistants…. Everyone involved deserved my gratitude.
Today we’re going to focus on The Little Things, that is, noticing the good in our everyday.
Be these moments, words, actions, however the good shows up in your day today, notice it, pause and try to truly appreciate whatever that is.
Exercise:
Catch the little things that bring you peace, joy, happiness, contentment or feelings of love today, wherever you find them. Oftentimes this can be something as simple as the way the sun reflects off the surface of a puddle, a bird singing outside your window, a flower growing in an unexpected place…..Pause, notice and appreciate.
It is in the collecting of the tiny moments of good in our every day lives that reminds us just how much we have to be grateful for.
