‘Thanks’.

Welcome back to Day 2 of our Gratitude Challenge and thank you for showing up and making a commitment to make gratitude a part of your daily life.

Appreciation of the things we have in our lives already doesn’t have to feel forced or difficult, in fact, if the act of being grateful feels too difficult in any moment, it may be time to try looking at it from different angle.

We all have days when the last thing on our minds is appreciation. You may be stuck in traffic, in a long queue at the supermarket or generally feeling that life sucks, but believe me:

IT’S IN THE DIFFICULT MOMENTS THAT GIVING A LITTLE THANKS CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE.

We now know that a consistent practice of gratitude can release feel good chemicals into your body, so if you’re a little clever with it, you can use your practice as the perfect antedote to stress.

Because I believe in keeping gratitude REAL, today I’m asking you to try something Super Simple.

Exercise:

Every time you eat or drink something today, say ‘Thank You’.

You don’t need to say Grace, unless you wish too. Gratitude needn’t be ritualistic, it should eventually become very natural to you and fit with ease into your day.

How many times have you given thanks for the food and drink you have readily available to you?

It’s an interesting question and I know that personally, I could do this more often.

So let’s do this together and today, whether it’s a glass of water, a piece of chocolate or dinner with your family; Stop. Pause. Take a breath. Say ‘Thank You’.

Prompt for Today:

Who might you say ‘Thank You’ too?

Have a blessed day and join me again tomorrow for some more simple and beneficial tips to weave gratitude into your life!

xoxo
